32 Hours Door-to-Door

Six suitcases, two carry-ons, one driver and the Stotts departed 9055 for our first leg of the journey. Because of the Bay Bridge closure, we left an hour earlier than planned, but smooth sailing all the way to SFO. Could not have asked for a better flight on UA to Frankfort...a brand new 747.

After a 5 hour layover in Germany, which included a shower and conversation with an interesting American on his way to Saudi to fly helicopters for the oil fields, we boarded Lufthansa for the last leg of a long journey.

We arrived in Mumbai at 1:45 AM and it was sensory overload. What we will remember about India is the smells, the vivid colors, and the noise. It was such a wonderful feeling to have a young man walk up to us as we hit the wall of people and ask if we were the Stotts.
